The Forum Day One
The Forum – Day One cont.
I took the blog post advice and got signed up to the forum and logged in.
They had two categories General Chat and Team Talk. The forum had just opened and it had like 1,000 post and 15 threads.
Team Talk was where teams were being formed at the speed of sound. Post for returning teams being reunited, people looking for team, geographical teams. You name it. It was posted.
Looking through the threads I noticed that there were quite a few experienced people in there along with some people that were fairly new online but had considerable off line experience and talent.
I’m guessing many newbies were lurking and trying to find a team to fit in with. Most teams seemed to be around 5 to 7 people. If I were a newbie I would be intimidated.
Anyway since teams were being formed and closed while I browsed I found a post for a team from Toronto with most of the “I want to join” replies from people who did not know each other. I replied to that one with some background info and brief description of my skills. Speaking of skills many teams were looking for members with specific skills to round out the team as if they wanted to be stacked to win. Not aware of a contest but maybe there is one.
Watching how three guys lead a large group through 30 days of training is going to be a great education. Offline when I worked I taught (with a co-teacher) 6 groups of up to 8 people a process they new nothing about over a 5 day 10 hours a day period. The last day they had to turn in and present a completed project but we were face to face and by comparison had complete control of the groups. This should really be interesting.
If you want to join in the fun I would get started asap. You can check thing out or just watch and learn. Visit this page to start http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/
Guess I will see if I was accepted to the group I posted in tomorrow.
