Careful with Wordpress & Hubpages
You don’t want to get the dreaded ACCOUNT SUSPENDED.
The tos in the free wordpress blogs only allows for one commercial link. Several people have been suspended recently.
Here is a waring email that you may or may not get.
from the forum:
Hi,
Your blog has one link in the sidebar to
xxxx.xxxx.com
It also has post, each of which also have that same link.We allow 1 link to be used once for the purposes you have.
It is otherwise seen as SEO, driving traffic or for commercial use.You will need to remove the links in the posts to comply with the Terms of Service.
I’d be grateful if you could let me know. The blog will be suspended if they are not removed.
Hubpages.com has shot first on many and sent an email later.
Here is an excerpt regarding “flagged” hubs.
Here’s what to do in the case of each type of violation:
-
- Spam – Reduce the number of links to any one site to one or two, and include more useful content. Any Hub that requires you to jump to another site to provide the information or utility suggested by the Hub title is likely to be classified as spam. Avoid tinyurl or other redirects that hide the destination of your links.
- Empty or Nearly Empty – Simply add more content, and keep your Hub unpublished until it’s ready to be shared. Remember, you can continue to edit your Hubs as often as you like before publishing them.
- Deceptively Titled/Tagged – Delete irrelevant tags (by clicking the red X button to the left of them) and/or change your Hub title while in Edit mode.
So… Just use common sense and read the TOS of each site you work with.
Good luck today,
Tom
