WOW 25 days of updates in one post!
Actually not going to do that. I had every intention of giving a day by day post of my experience in the 2008 Thirty Day Challenge but…
I got a little behind - that could be a good thing
And it was, I was fortunate to have a flood of business this month, I have been swamped. I still participated in the challenge, viewed every lesson and 30 day challenge T.V. show.
Entered a new niche, got ranked and made sales! I just haven’t had the time to post about it but I will soon. The tools this year like Wordpress Direct and Market Samurai were awesome.
No worries I will be coming back to the blog to post what happend each day. A challenger documented every lesson to a pdf for this year and did a fabulous job. I searched the forum for his name and apologize that I have not found it yet. But an excellent job of detailing each days training including great screen shots.
The pdf’s will be a huge help to late comers.
Kudo’s to Ed Dale and company for not monetizing this while deal. I still can’t believe what is offered for free.
Talk soon,
Tom
Well after studying my chosen niche, the seo competition and items available to sell…
I’m bailing our of this one. At least as the thirty day challenge is concerned. I will start a blog in the niche for my own personal reasons and enthiusiasm though.
So off to market samurai for some more research. Wish me luck.
Today we learned how to find an affiliate program for our chosen niche. Amazon.com was the preferred program with books being the example.
Next we learned how to create some copy for our article/blog post to entice a click through to the affiliate product.
Capturing and inserting a proper sized image into our blog post side bar via a widget (love the widgets) was shown using http://www.picnik.com/ to resize the image to a fitting dimension.
Finally we were taught how to insert our affiliate link into a blog post with the keyword as the anchor text and how to insert a link on the image using the keyword as the image description.
So first article posted today with affiliate links and an image with a clickable affiliate link and call to action in the side bar.
Very cool for new comers (I just hate calling people newbies).
Here is the “text book example staright form the example blog.
There you have it.
Tom
